Hilary Clinton has achieved something no one else in the history of American politics has even come close to doing. On Tuesday night she declared victory in her battle for the Democratic presidential nomination, becoming the first woman to lead a major American political party. The former first lady, US senator and secretary of state dedicated her victory to "all little girl who dream big".
"To every little girl who dreams big: Yes, you can be anything you want, even president.Tonight is for you." she captioned a photo of herself playing with a little black girl.
