A woman in Ogun state has been arrested for stabbing her husband after he confessed to having an affair with another woman.
The woman identified as Oluwakemi Etu, used a machete to cut her husband who told her about his affair with another woman while they were having sex.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded in the couple’s home on Saturday morning after the couple had sex. The woman got angry and slashed her husband's chest with a machete after he opened up about his affair with another woman.
After a brief argument, she allowed her husband to go to sleep, and then grabbed a machete and cut his chest.
The husband, Kehinde Etu, fell unconscious and was rushed to the State General Hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition.
A spokesperson for the hospital has however revealed that the husband has since regained consciousness. Etu who was arraigned for attempted murder, has pleaded not guilty.
