Woman pours hot soup on sleeping boyfriend

A woman in Florida has been declared wanted for attempting to kill her boyfriend with hot soup.

According to St. Petersburg police, the 41-year-old woman identified as Misty Childs, tried to kill her sleeping boyfriend, Lavont Moss, after an argument on Sunday.

The incident occurred around midnight at his home after Moss went to bed. Childs then poured hot soup on the face and upper torso of her boyfriend, and then fled.

Moss’ two roommates, Ashleigh Ferris and Wesley Clark, said the assault occurred while they were smoking outside. They heard screams from inside the house, and rushed inside to find Moss in pain.

Moss told them that Childs burned him with soup and then collapsed on the couch.

Clark, who is a paramedic, said that the injuries were some of the worst he has ever seen. Doctors are not sure if Moss will survive as he suffered internal injuries after hot soup entered his nose and throat.

His girlfriend, Childs is still at large.
