A 60-year-old herbalist, Kareemu Okeyode and his 51-year-old client, Oladele Bakare, passed on to the great beyond yesterday afternoon, while performing money rituals in Ogun state.
According to a report by the Nation, the herbalist and his client were conducting rigorous rituals and incantations to conjure up money in a sacred room when they suddenly stopped talking.
The herbalist reportedly entered his sacred room with Bakare in the morning after he had prepared many fetish objects, which included incense, for the ritual.
After a while, concerned neighbours didn't hear any sound coming from the room and went to knock but go no response. After a while, they forced open the door and found both men naked and dead.
The neighbors reported to the police and the bodies of the men were removed.
Ogun police command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, while confirming the incident, disclosed that the two men were pulled out of the room naked and may have died from suffocation.
In his own words: “it was very likely that they died of suffocation in the room suffused with smoke of burning incense”.
