Followers of detained leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky, on Wednesday staged a protest to the National Assembly, Abuja.
They were, however, prevented from having access to the grounds of the National Assembly.
They were largely restricted to the first security post of the National Assembly, which is close to the Federal Secretariat in Area 11.
They had placards with different inscriptions with them.
El-Zakzaky has been in detention with his wife since December 2015.
He was last year granted but but yet to be released.
